VTech 5” HD Video Monitor with Remote Access uses MyVTech Baby Plus app to let you instantly see and hear what’s happening with your baby from anywhere in the world. Download the app at the App Store or the Google PlayTM Store, directly from your smartphone or mobile tablet. The full HD (1080p) resolution is visible in the app only.

- Direct Connect Mode - the monitor is ready to use out of the box for local monitoring between parent unit and camera i.e. there is a direct link between parent unit and camera that establishes automatically, no additional set-up required.
- App Connect Mode - the camera is set-up to communicate via a WiFi network for remote access to the camera via the VTech app on your smartphone/tablet. Once the camera is set up for App Connect Mode it will continue to communicate to the parent unit in Direct Connect Mode, and will simultaneously communicate to the VTech app.

Can I use the VTech RM5754HDV2 without Wi-Fi?
Yes. Direct Connect Mode links the camera to the 5-inch parent unit automatically using a secure FHSS connection, with no additional setup required. Wi-Fi is needed for remote access through the MyVTech Baby Plus app.
What video quality does this baby monitor provide?
The camera captures video in 1080p Full HD, which is visible in the MyVTech Baby Plus app. The parent unit displays video on a 5-inch 720p HD colour screen. Automatic night vision and a wide-angle view support monitoring in different lighting conditions.
Can I view the camera remotely from my phone?
Yes. After setting up App Connect Mode over Wi-Fi, you can view and control the camera remotely using the free MyVTech Baby Plus app on a smartphone or tablet. The app also supports remote video and image recording.
What alerts and monitoring features are included?
The monitor provides motion detection alerts and room temperature sensor alerts on both the parent unit and the app. Auto Wake Up mode can respond to voice and/or motion detection, and the camera can record 10-second onboard video clips when motion is detected.
How long does the parent unit battery last, and what can I use it for?
The rechargeable parent unit battery provides up to 15 hours of active video monitoring time. From the parent unit or the app, you can use two-way talk, play five lullabies and five natural sounds, and access camera viewing features. The camera also offers 8x local digital zoom and 10x remote digital zoom.
