The Britax Safe-n-Sound Maxi Guard Pro Lux is a forward-facing harnessed car seat designed for children from approximately 6 months to 8 years. With a built-in 6-point harness, dual-layer Side Impact Cushion Technology (SICT) and a slim 460 mm exterior width, it combines extended harnessing with everyday comfort and convenience.

Unlike a regular booster seat that uses the vehicle seat belt to restrain your child, the Maxi Guard Pro Lux has a built-in 6-point harness. It provides support across the shoulders, hips and torso while your child remains within the seat's permitted height markers.
Extra Side Impact Protection
Dual-layer SICT is incorporated into the headrest for 180-degree protection. The inner layer cushions your child's head while the outer layer is designed to absorb immediate impact energy.
Easy Adjustments as They Grow
The headrest height can be adjusted from the front without uninstalling the car seat. The Hassle Free Harness automatically repositions the shoulder straps as you adjust the seat, removing the need to manually rethread them.
A Slim Fit for Growing Families
At 460 mm wide, the Maxi Guard Pro Lux has a narrow exterior designed to help fit multiple child restraints across the back seat of most vehicles. Actual fit will depend on your vehicle and the other child restraints being used.
Simpler Everyday Buckling
Magnetic harness holders keep the straps to the sides while your child gets into or out of the seat, helping make everyday buckling easier.
Comfort for Short and Long Trips
A generous seating area, cushioned inserts and soft trim padding help keep growing children comfortable. Choose between reclined and upright positions, with slide-out cup holders providing convenient storage on the go.
Knowing When They Have Outgrown It
The Maxi Guard Pro Lux uses lower and upper shoulder height markers to help determine suitability, rather than age alone. Once your child exceeds the upper height marker, they have outgrown the seat and will need an appropriate next-stage restraint.
