Hegen is a Singaporean brand, and it's unusually single-minded. Rather than making a bottle and then a pump and then a storage container, it designed one system where every part connects to every other part. The bottles are PPSU, a material chosen because it takes repeated sterilising, boiling and freezing without clouding or warping, and the shape is the giveaway: a rounded square that sits comfortably in a hand and doesn't roll off the bench. That squared profile also means the containers stack squarely in a fridge or freezer, which matters more than you'd think when you're building a supply.

PCTO is the name of the closure and the reason the system works. The lid presses on and twists off, which you can manage one-handed in the dark while holding a baby, and it seals well enough to go into a freezer or a bag. Because the neck is standard across the range, a single bottle becomes several things depending on which top you fit: a pump body for expressing, a sealed lid for storing, a teat for feeding, or a straw spout when your baby moves on from bottles. Adapters connect it to standard-neck accessories, so you aren't locked out of what you already own. Fewer parts also means fewer places for milk to hide, which is the quiet argument for a system like this.
