Gated Buckles - Preventing Self-Release
A gated buckle adds a secondary mechanism to the standard harness release - requiring a deliberate two-step action to open rather than a simple press, making it significantly harder for a young child to unclip their own harness during a journey. Standard buckles are designed to open under pressure, which many toddlers discover and exploit from as young as 18 months.
