The following features of the Platinum are new - Shoulder height markers have been introduced to make it easier for parents to understand if the seat is suitable for their child and when the child needs to move to the next form of restraint. The Platinum AHR Air Cushion also features a new removable seat pad. If you experience spills and little accidents simply remove the easy clean pad, not the entire cover.

AIR CUSHION

To improve the chance of surviving a crash, the forces on your child need to be minimised. In a frontal crash there is substantial crumple zone to absorb the energy but in a side impact crash there is minimal distance to absorb the energy.

The Safe-n-Sound Platinum AHR with Air Cushions is specifically designed to absorb energy on your child’s head.

As the cushion compresses it dispels air at a controlled rate, and this results in the cushion absorbing the crash energy.

Safe-n-Sound can measure head accelerations and know that the head accelerations experienced in the Platinum AHR Air Cushion are lower and dispersed over a longer period of time. Other seats experience a short, sharp acceleration which causes higher forces to be felt by a child.

AHR TILT & ADJUST

When you combine Air Cushion with the AHR Tilt & Adjust headrest your child’s head is cushioned and contained. The close fitting, deep side walls shield your child’s head from vehicle intrusion and prevent head roll. The head and neck are kept aligned to limit potential injury.

The Tilt & Adjust headrest adjusts, growing with your child to provide optimal head protection all of the time. It is easy, tilt the headrest forward, pull up to desired position and let go to and lock in place.

HASSLE FREE HARNESS

As you raise the headrest the harness shoulder straps will reposition, thus making it safer and easier to use. The headrest should sit on or above your child’s shoulder height.

SPEAKERS IN THE HEADREST

The Platinum AHR Air Cushion headrest features built in stereo speakers to listen to a personal MP3 player. This is a great feature for long trips. You can listen to your music and your child can listen to theirs.

INFANT SAFETY CUSHION

For babies we designed a unique Infant Safety Cushion. Like the side impact cushions this specially selected composite material absorbs energy on the babies torso.

The insert and AHR headrest trim are reversible. The inside is a cool smooth Micro Peach Polyester and the reversed side is a warm, soft luxurious Nylon Flock.

HELPFUL HARNESS HOLDERS

Harnessing a wriggly child is often difficult. The Helpful Harness Holders will keep the harness open while you place your child in the seat.

The Harness tongues can heat up in the sun, so use the Harness Holders to prevent the tongue from coming in contact with your child’s skin.

CANOPY AND MESSY MAT

The Platinum AHR Air Cushion includes are large sun canopy with flip out sun visor and a high back car seat messy mat which protects your car upholstery.

REAR AND FORWARD FACING LOCK OFFS

Installed in either rear or forward facing position seat belt locks offs provide for a more secure fit in the vehicle.

COMFORT

The Platinum AHR Air Cushion provides superior comfort. This includes Shoulder Pads, Crotch Pads and multiple recline positions while you use the seat in toddler position.

USAGE

The Platinum AHR Air Cushion can be used rearward facing approximately a 12 month old baby.

Convert from a rearward facing seat into forward facing seat for use up to approximately 4 years. In toddler mode extend the headrest to grow with child’s shoulder height and use the seat recline to provide additional comfort.

CRASH EXCHANGE

The Platinum AHR Air Cushion is covered by the Safe-n-Sound Crash Exchange Program. This is a voluntary program designed to ensure that our children are safe and that any seat that may have experienced a severe crash is taken out of the market.
